The Make-A-Wish Foundation((MAWF) grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich their lives with hope, strength, and joy. MAWF is the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 27 international affiliates including Japan, Taiwan, England, Australia, India, Belgium, Greece, Israel, New Zealand etc. With the help of generous donors and more than 20,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation (has granted more than 97,000 wishes to children across the world since 1980. background Those who helped to make the boy's wish come true hoped that other children with serious illnesses could also experience the same kind of happiness of having a wish come true. And so they set up the Make-A-Wish Foundation International. Their convictions in helping the terminally ill feel better, gradually gained positive feedback from other countries around the world. Since 1998, MAWF International has chosen April 29 as "Global Wish Day". |
